Q: What time will the conference begin and end?
A: The conference begins on Tuesday June 19 at 7:30 am with registration, and ends at 5:30 pm on Thursday, June 21.
Cost & Payment
Q: How much is registration?
A: Academic registration fee is $650. Student registration fee is $250. Industry registration fee is $750.
Q: What is included in the cost of the conference?
A: Entrance to all plenary and session presentations, conference breakfast and lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, networking reception on Tuesday evening as well as refreshment breaks throughout each day. We will also be offering a limited number of tours of the Remai Modern for those who sign up to attend.
Q: Can I pay less if I only attend one day of the conference?
A: No, there is one set rate for the entire 3 days of the conference.
Transportation & Accommodations
Q: Where do I stay while attending the conference?
A: The conference hotel is the Delta Bessborough Hotel, however you can stay at any hotel you wish. The Park Town Hotel and the Shertaon Hotel are both within close walking distance of the Bessborough Hotel. If you require rooms earlier or later than the dates included in our room block, please be aware that regular hotel rates apply.
Q: Is the event wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes, the Bessborough Hotel is wheelchair accessible.
Speakers & Presenters
Q: What if I want to speak/present at the conference?
A: Speakers for this conference are by invitation only. You may send your abstract to the conference organizing team at firstname.lastname@example.org and they will forward on to the program committed for consideration.
Q: How do I register for conference?
A: You may register online through this website. Simply go to the registration page.
Q: How do I pay (cheque or cash)?
A: Our online system only accepts payment via credit card. If you require payment via a cheque or cash, a team member will need to register you manually. Please email email@example.com for assistance.
Q: Can I transfer my registration to another person?
A: Yes. You will need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of the original attendee and the individual replacing him/her. We may ask that you submit an updated registration form (that you will receive via email) so that we have all of the necessary details of the new attendee.
Q: Can I get my registration refunded?
A: We can refund registrations, less an administration fee, up until the 16th May early bird registration deadline. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to give refunds after the cut-off date because we have already confirmed meals and other expenses with the hotel.
Q: When does registration close?
A: The online registration officially closes on Monday June 13th.
Q: Are there any scholarships?
A: Yes, there are a few scholarships available. Please check out the exhibitor/posters page for more information.
Q: Are all meals provided?
A: Most conference meals will be provided as noted below.
- Tuesday – Breakfast, Lunch and Networking Reception
- Wednesday – Breakfast and Lunch; an optional Dine Around is planned for the evening; Cost to be covered by partcipants
- Thursday – Breakfast and Lunch; A Gala Dinner in the evening is available for a fee; please refer to registration page for pricing.
Q: What if I have a food allergy/intolerance of some sort?
A: Please be sure to include information about your allergies and/or intolerance when you complete your online registration. The hotel catering will do their best to accommodate you in this regard.
Q: Can I choose to attend only some of the sessions/ events?
A: Your attendance at sessions and/or events is at your discretion.
