Welcome Reception, Tuesday, June 19

The Welcome Reception will take place in the beautiful Bessborough Gardens, located at the conference hotel. Held on the first day of the conference, the Welcome Reception offers an opportunity to catch up with colleagues, create valuable connections and make new friends.

There is no cost to attend the Welcome Reception.

Remai Modern Art Gallery Guided Tours, Tuesday, June 19

Join us on a tour of Saskatoon's brand new Remai Modern Art Gallery! Our beautiful museum has garnered Saskatoon attention by the New York Times as one of the top 52 destinations to visit in 2018!

Remai Modern’s building was designed to be animated with art and create transformative experiences. The striking new museum sits on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, offering intimate spaces, dramatic expanses, and stunning views of the South Saskatchewan River and prairie skies. Spanning four levels, Remai Modern has 11 gallery spaces over three floors, learning studios, a theatre, restaurant, store, lounges, play areas and numerous multi-use spaces.

Tours will run by the hour on the hour. We ask that you meet in the lobby of the Bessborough hotel 30 minutes prior to your tour start time. Transportation to the Gallery will be provided.

Dine Around, Wednesday, June 20

Find out why Saskatoon has a huge foodie culture by joining in our “Dine Around” taking place Wednesday, June 20th! Delegates cover their own costs for the Dine Around.

Saskatoon’s “foodie culture” has earned praise from food writers all of over North America. Since 2015, Saskatoon’s dining opportunities have been written about in vogue.com, Elle Magazine Canada, the National Post, Canadian Geographic, En Route Magazine, The Denver Post, USA Today and more.

Gala Dinner, Thursday, June 21

Dress up, or not – either way, the GIFS Conference Gala/Dinner provides one last opportunity to network with colleagues, chat with new friends, and enjoy great entertainment.

The cost for the Gala Dinner is $200.00 per person.

 

Registration Confirmation

 

Once you have completed your registered online, you will receive an email to confirm you are registered for the event.

If you are unable to register using the online system for any reason, or if you need to pay for your registration using a payment method other than a credit card, please contact us at conference2018@gifs.ca.

Cancellations & Substitutions

Cancellation of your registration is allowed up to 60 days prior to the conference (April 21, 2018). If you wish to substitute another individual in your place, you may do so up to one (1) week in advance of the conference, provided that individual does not require administrative support for travel. Please provide written confirmation from the individual who will be taking your place by having them forward an Email to conference2018@gifs.ca.
