Across her career, Dr Anne Roulin has worked in academia, in the private sector (for Tetra Pak and Nestlé) and as an entrepreneur, in the UK, Switzerland, the USA, Italy and France. Her studies were in Chemistry and her Ph.D. in Materials Science. Since 1988, she has been involved across the diverse aspects of sustainability including environmental, social and economic considerations with applications in many countries. During the past few years, she has focused on making sustainable nutrition operational through a holistic value chain approach. She is passionate about helping young entrepreneurs’ startup businesses and recently has co-founded a Swiss based non-profit association called the Agripreneurship Alliance. The aim is to support young entrepreneurs in Africa with cloud-based tools and resources to start new businesses in agriculture and agri-food.
