Ibironke Ifedayo Abraham, staff of the Youth-in-Agribusiness model in the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria referred to as IITA Youth Agripreneur (IYA) whose vision is to reduce the rate of unemployment amongst youth in Africa by positively engaging them with skills required in Agribusiness as well as improving their livelihood.
Prior to his service with the capacity building team of IYA where it is required of him to transfer the knowledge garnered so far in agribusiness to other youths, he has performed several roles with the production arm especially in aquaculture. He has helped in transferring this agribusiness knowledge within Nigeria and across Africa via trainings and several workshops.
Mr. Ibironke earned his MBA-in-Agribusiness certificate in 2018, from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and a bachelor’s degree as an agronomist from Ekiti State University and has since being committed in several ways to agriculture even during his NYSC scheme.
When not at work, he is active in reading proposals and relevant documents for immediate project execution and most times strategizing on Youth re-orientation mechanisms and identification of knowledge gap. He is currently managing the Chevron – IITA youth agribusiness project in Delta state, Nigeria.
